DIG launches website
The DIG Group joined the worldwide web by publishing their website at the end
of September. The site comprises some 25 pages and covers the Corrugated, Kirby
DIG, Engineering, Tube Manipulation and Aquagym divisions that make up the DIG
Group.
The DIG Corrugated section allows customers to send inquiries and orders for S&S
spare parts via e-mail, as well as ask questions of a general nature. A list of
all used machinery available from DIG can be viewed, and this list will be updated
on a monthly basis.
There are links from the DIG website into the USA based websites of FIT doctored
chamber blade systems, Easy Mover and the IMC Pacesetter computer set-up system.
An additional site dedicated to Kirby DIG is also in the process of being developed
and should be online by the end of November.
Russel Smith, sales manager for DIG Corrugated sees the Internet as a core part
of any company's marketing strategy. He says "Most company websites start off
as on-line brochures. This makes it easy for anyone anywhere in the world to obtain
information about the company. The degree of anonymity offered by the web also
makes potential customers more willing to explore the services offered by the
company.
The latest trend is now towards e-commerce - using your website to sell the products
or services of your company. At DIG our site is essentially an online brochure,
but we have also taken a small step towards e-commerce by allowing customers to
order spare parts, send a description of any service work they may require, submit
details of machines they have for sale, and view a list of all second hand machinery
offered by DIG.
We are currently in
the process of updating our website, so please be patient, but happy
Millennium
anyway.
